Welcome to Modena (Italy). Modena has 185.000 inhabitants, close to Bologna, not far away from Milan, Florence and Venice. It is an ancient town, it is known for its automotive industry since the factories of the famous Italian sports car makers Ferrari, De Tomaso, Lamborghini, Maserati and Pagani are, or were, located here and all, have headquarters in the city or nearby.

When you visit Modena as part of the YOUMOBIL- project, please follow the mentioned steps:
﻿
1) Travel to Modena using your Interrail ticket
2) Make yourself notes about your travelling to and from Modena, especially about the infrastructure (trains, train stations,…)
3) Check out Modena. Visit the Cathedral, the Medieval Centre or the home-museum of
Enzo Ferrari. Visit the wonderful Abbey of Nonantola, the Rocca di Vignola, the Ferrari Museum in Maranello
4) Make some nice pictures of Modena, including a selfie near one of the places mentioned above.

SPECIAL TIP: The most known event in summer is the Festival della Filosofia, an international event about philosophy.
