Das EUROPE DIRECT Informationszentrum Halle ist Bestandteil des EU-weiten Informationsnetzwerkes der Europäischen Kommission. Die Hauptaufgabe dieses Netzwerkes ist es, den Bürgern vor Ort Informationen, Rat, Hilfe und Antworten auf ihre Fragen zur Europäischen Union zu geben. In Deutschland gibt es zurzeit etwa 50 EUROPE DIRECT Informationszentren. Das Europe Direct Informationszentrum informiert zu europäischen Themen und bietet auch Information und Beratung zu europäischen Austausch- und Mobilitätsmöglichkeiten. Auch auf zahlreichen Veranstaltungen, Bürgerdialogen und Events ist das Europe Direct Informationszentrum aktiv.
